WVU Duo Mobile App: A Winning Combination

The West Virginia University athletic teams have been on a roll lately, with two standout student-athletes catching our attention this week. Senior outside hitter Katelyn Evans of the volleyball team and senior Etienne Papineau of the golf team have been named WVU Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by University Apartments.

Evans had an impressive week, finishing with an average of 3.89 kills per set, ranking fourth in the Big 12. Her performances did not go unnoticed, as she led West Virginia to a 3-1 victory at Kansas State on Saturday, posting a season-high 22 kills.

Meanwhile, Papineau had a strong showing in the golf team's competition at the 2019 Big 12 Match Play Championship. He started the weekend with a win over Pierceson Coody of No. 10 Texas, claiming a three-stroke win with one hole remaining. Papineau went on to lead the Mountaineers to two wins and a tie in five matches, finishing the week with a strong 3-1-1 record.
